Different lives under the same sky can be vastly different. In the remote mountainous areas, many children face a tough life because of the unfriendly environment. Uch is the case for the children living deep in the mountains of Daliang Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. They only have old and thin clothes to put on every day, even though there is a large temperature difference between day and night on the plateau. They also have to help with a lot of farm and household work in their free time. But they don’t let their lack of backpacks, books, and bedclothes stop their dreams. They still wish to discover the world.
Our school has always attached great importance to campus safety education and continuously carries out various forms of activities in this regard. We have just moved to the new campus and needed to get familiar with every emergency escape route in the new environment. The first fire and earthquake drill in the 2023-2024 academic year was carried out. Let’s review what was accomplished.
On August 29th, our new Grade 1 students had a special day. The second day of each school year is the traditional first-year pupil welcoming day at Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang. Families from different countries have joined our school community. Teachers and senior students prepared a wonderful welcoming ceremony to help the new students feel at home in our school!
The new school year at Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang began on August 28, with students rejoicing in their reunion on the first day of the new term. This day also marked the official opening of our new campus, a beautifully designed and exquisite campus that can offer a new learning and living environment with unlimited possibilities for teachers and students!
Recalling the 2022-2023 academic year of Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang, what impressed students deeply was the sense of achievement after studying hard, the flash of inspiration in activities on and off campus, the sweat they shed in various sports, the wonderful experience in Chinese and German holidays, and the exhibition of project week works themed on World Tour.

Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang series "HuZ Cares public welfare activity" completed the 2023 charity run activity smoothly as scheduled. Through our joint efforts, we raised a total of 73,162 yuan. All these donations will be used for various public welfare projects that the school has long participated in. Dragon Boat Festival is the time when the vitality of all creatures is approaching its peak! Everything on earth is full of energy. On the day before the Dragon Boat Festival, Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche School Shenyang held a series of theme activities to better promote the Chinese traditional culture and let students enjoy the joy brought by this traditional festival. From May 19 to June 2, 2023, our G10 students traveled to Shanghai for their oral exam. The exam format was challenging: each student had only 20 minutes to prepare before answering questions for another 20 minutes. The stakes were high as well: the oral exam, along with the written exam in March, would make up more than 50% of their final scores. Our students faced a lot of pressure during this period.

On May 27th, the 2023 Charity Run was lunched. It’s another practice of HuZ Cares, the public voluntary project of Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang.
On May 31st, HuZ Cares, the voluntary program of Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang held a "Riverbank Cleaning Activity". This event is not only an environmental protection lesson for students, but also aims to promote students’ awareness of creating a green society and a call to care for the environment to build a beautiful planet.
On May 20th, the "Hello Shenyang" Friendship Football Tournament for Foreign Nationals in Shenyang kicked off at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center. Here in Shenyang, our Foreign friends of different nationalities gathered on the green sports field, saying the slogan, “Hello, Shenyang” in different languages.
On a pleasant spring morning, the teachers and students of Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang went to Qipanshan for spring outings. With the theme of "Embrace the Spring, Seize the Season", the spring outing gave students direct contact with the beauty and vitality of spring. Spring outings not only allow students to exercise their bodies but also cultivate their perseverance and awareness of cooperation.
