Our school has always attached great importance to campus safety education and continuously carries out various forms of activities in this regard. We have just moved to the new campus and needed to get familiar with every emergency escape route in the new environment. The first fire and earthquake drill in the 2023-2024 academic year was carried out. Let’s review what was accomplished.
We made a detailed plan for the drill in advance which included everything such as personnel arrangement, escape routes, learning of the importance of fire control and the right response in a fire emergency. The plan was made as comprehensive as possible according to the actual environment of the new campus.
The students should know about the widely used safety signs, emergency calls, and the knowledge of escape and self-rescue in China. Under the guidance of the teachers, all students exited out from their classrooms in an orderly manner and got to the school playground according to the predetermined route in a very quick but safe and organized manner. The orderly drill achieved the expected effect.
This drill not only taught students how to escape and self-rescue, but also improved their ability to cope with emergencies and disasters. We will keep providing students with safety education from multiple perspectives in the daily schooling which creates a safe and reassuring education community!
