The Summer Fest was a joint effort by the Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang and the parents of students to celebrate the semester’s end. It took place at the new campus on a sunny summer afternoon on June 30. School activities are the core of school culture, where students can have fun with teamwork and sharing. They give students a chance to show their personalities and unwind, as well as a platform to develop fully, freely and healthily in both body and mind.
The Summer Fest offered various fun activities such as a bubble pool, face painting, games, basketball, and more. Everyone on site enjoyed the festive mood, and the campus was full of laughter and cheers. Students either ran around the playground or splashed in the pool with water and white foam.
As we played, we also enjoyed the different German treats that parents made: pretzel, cake, yogurt, fruit, sandwiches and more that was available in the food stalls that were set up along the semi-outdoor playground. Students could learn about the culture and cuisine as they ate the tasty food, and get closer to each other.
Time flies when you're having fun. As the sun was setting, students came together in front of the grandstand for the award ceremony. Principals shared their good wishes to give students different joys through this Summer Fest and to end the memorable and fulfilling semester on a high note.
The Summer Fest is an activity that shows the shared values of our teachers, students and parents. It helps to connect school education with family education as both the parents and the school work together to make sure students grow happily and learn from different cultures. Our common goal will strengthen the bond between family and school. This is the end of our school’s summer festival this year, and we want to thank all the parents for their time and effort. Summer vacation is coming soon, let’s get ready for the new semester together.
