On December 18, 2023, at 23:59, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. The earthquake caused significant casualties and property loss. The rescue and relief work at the disaster area tugged at the heartstrings of billions of people.
The HuZ German Reading Contest is an exciting opportunity for students to demonstrate their German language skills. This contest helps students improve their expression and comprehension of the German language by engaging in challenging activities. They also develop their oral skills and prepare for their future German learning.
Hübschmann·Zhan School held an international video call with students at St. Anna Gymnasium in Germany. The students from both sides showcased the unique cultures of their respective schools through multi-dimensional introduction with pictures, videos, and words. While experiencing the integration of language and culture, the students also shared and exchanged ideas on topics such as school learning and urban life.
As Christmas is approaching, Hübschmann·Zhan School held a series of Christmas activities to bring a festive atmosphere to the campus. The school, parents, and students enjoyed Christmas together and held a celebration!
On December 1, 2023, a wonderful Friday night, the Hübschmann·Zhan School Student Choir was invited to perform at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony of the Grand Hyatt Shenyang. Representatives of various consulates in Shenyang, parents of HuZ School students, and guests from different backgrounds attended this ceremony. People from diverse countries and cultures came together to enjoy the Christmas festivities and the exchange of cultural experiences.
On November 25th, the International French Teachers Day, Hübschmann·Zhan School partnered with the French Consulate General in Shenyang to hold a wonderful French language event for French teachers in the three northeastern provinces. HuZ School joined French teachers and learners to exchange and share their experiences in French education.

Different languages and cultures shape different civilizations, which make up our colorful world. Civilizations interact through diversity, learn through interaction, and grow through learning. To promote the cultural exchange between China and Germany, Hübschmann Zhan School, the Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Provincial Government’s Foreign Affairs Office, and the German Consulate General in Shenyang, have jointly launched an activity on intangible cultural heritage. Through this activity, the students and parents of our school learned about Chinese traditions, made friends, and had fun while working with others.
On the afternoon of October 16th, Hübschmann Zhan School French teachers organized a film-screening activity for our Secondary students who are French or fans of French language.

On October 13, 2023, the French Consulate General in Shenyang launched the 10th Sino-French Environment Month, with activities themed on “Vivre Autrement” (Living differently). Hübschmann·Zhan School has supported and participated in the Sino-French Environment Month for several years in a row and was invited to witness the exciting opening ceremony of “Vivre Autrement” on site.
