The HuZ German Reading Contest is an exciting opportunity for students to demonstrate their German language skills. This contest helps students improve their expression and comprehension of the German language by engaging in challenging activities. They also develop their oral skills and prepare for their future German learning.
During the German Reading Contest, participants pronounced each word clearly, paused at the appropriate places, and conveyed the German content with expressive emotions. They all amazed the audience with their German proficiency and outstanding performances, earning rounds of applause.
After each participant finished their reading, the students in the audience rated them fairly and objectively based on criteria such as intonation, emotion, and stage presence. In the end, the top three participants with the highest scores received the rewards. The students who did not win any prizes should not feel discouraged, as everyone can learn from this contest and improve their German skills in the future! At the conclusion of the event, teacher A. Durand Mitre gave a summary speech, praising the students for their proficiency in German and their fluent reading of the German content. He also offered professional feedback on the mistakes students made during the competition.
Learning German plays a significant role in students’ future studies and in the cultural exchange between Germany and China. Hübschmann·Zhan School continues to hold German reading contests to encourage students’ learning of the German language and to showcase the progress they have made. Such competitions will benefit both the German teaching in our school and students’ appreciation of different cultures!
