On December 18, 2023, at 23:59, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. The earthquake caused significant casualties and property loss. The rescue and relief work at the disaster area tugged at the heartstrings of billions of people.
Although Hübschmann·Zhan School is on Christmas holiday, we never stopped caring about the safety and warmth of every disaster-stricken family, and payed continuous attention to the situation in the quake-hit areas. Within a few days, we assembled school members in Shenyang to take prompt actions and deliver urgently needed materials to the disaster area after getting necessary information of the situation. Our school fulfilled our social responsibility with selfless donations and prompt supports to the affected regions. "When disaster struck, help came from all sides". Adhering to this traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, we believed that the support we gave out of our sense of social responsibility will bring care and assistance to disaster stricken families.
Cares and relief materials from various channels are delivered to support Jishishan county. Every little act of kindness can help with the relief work. We sincerely hope that with the support of all parties, the affected population can overcome the disaster and rebuild their beautiful home as soon as possible.
