On February 29th, Dr. Patricia Flor, the German Ambassador to China, along with her delegation, visited the Hübschmann·Zhan School in Shenyang. They were accompanied by Mr. Hendrik Barkeling, the Consul-General of the German Consulate General in Shenyang, and Dr. Franz Decker, President and CEO of BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. With the students’ melodic school song as the backdrop, the exchange activities at Hübschmann·Zhan School kicked off.
Our school principal warmly welcomed the German Ambassador to China on behalf of the entire school community. During the visit, our principal introduced our campus architecture, the Sino-German Encounter educational philosophy, and our unique Encounter courses to our esteemed guests. The Ambassador appreciated our modern teaching facilities and the relaxed learning environment for students, emphasizing how beneficial it is for them to study and live here.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Ambassador expressed high praise for our school’s “Encounter Culture.” This unique culture fosters an environment where Chinese and German students can study and live together, leading to genuine and mutually beneficial Sino-German cultural integration. Our school has been a pioneer in the concept of an “Encounter School.” The Ambassador was especially delighted and excited to witness the achievements made by our institution. Recognizing the cultural diversity stemming from different nationalities, she emphasized the importance of respecting and learning about various cultures. Our “Encounter Culture” has effectively created opportunities and an inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds to connect and integrate with one another.
As they bid farewell, our school principal extended a warm invitation to the ambassador and consuls, inviting them to revisit Hübschmann·Zhan School in the future. His hope is that our school can forge deeper collaborations with additional German schools, particularly in the realms of education, technology, and the arts. Such partnerships would further enhance educational exchanges between our school and our friendly counterparts in Germany.
