Spring is the season when the world wakes up after their winter slumber.
At Hübschmann·Zhan Deutsche Schule Shenyang we are happy to give our students access to seasonal activities that promote learning a healthy lifestyle, and respecting nature.The students had a chance to do this by planting sprouts.
They learned different ways of planting, the characteristics, and needs of plants called succulents. Students got to unleash their creativity by decorating the flower pots, and choosing which types of succulents and decorations to use during the activity.
The students expressed their own preferences in choices of plants while learning the need to be gentle with nature. They also expressed themselves by painting natural spring scenes.
The students enjoyed this activity and seeing how each expressed themselves in different ways. They learned more about each other and got to see how the plants can be planted in many beautiful styles.
The activity promoted environmental awareness and appreciation among the students. Through a fun activity the students learned more about the importance of plants in our world. How they help maintain ecological balance and ensure human survival. “Green” awareness was deeply rooted in the hearts of the students.
A school cannot progress without the support and trust of the parents. We appreciate the support provided by the twelve parents who participated in this activity ensuring its success. Their hard work and varied opinions and expertise helped a lot. The collaboration of care from both teachers and parents helps bring happiness and growth to the children. Let this planting activity become a special memory shared by students and parents this spring.
