On March 26, students from HuZ School stepped out of the classroom to connect with the history of Shenyang. Teachers and students from Grades G1–G4 visited the Shenyang Museum to take part in an educational and engaging field trip. Through this experience, they explored historical treasures, deepened their appreciation for their hometown, and transformed cultural relics into living learning materials that nourish their growth.
The Shenyang Museum preserves thousands of years of local history and, with its rich collections, serves as an excellent classroom for students to learn about their cultural heritage. Upon entering the exhibition halls, the beautifully displayed artifacts immediately captured the children’s attention, opening a cross-temporal dialogue with history.
Organized in small class groups, the activity featured a variety of interactive elements. Several classes, under the guidance of foreign teachers, participated in a “Treasure Exploration in the Museum” activity. The teachers guided students to observe exhibits closely, trace their historical background, and encouraged them to locate designated artifacts, record information, take photos, and share their reflections.
Following the footsteps of history, the children engaged in hands-on note-taking, group collaboration, and guided exploration, making distant history come alive in a vivid and tangible way. This off-campus learning experience became a memorable cultural journey. May the children carry their discoveries forward, continue exploring the beauty of Shenyang, and always cherish and love this land.
