As the new semester begins, ensuring the safety of all students and staff remains our top priority. To strengthen safety awareness and enhance emergency response skills, Hübschmann·Zhan School meticulously organized a comprehensive safety drill at the start of the academic year, covering both earthquake and fire emergency scenarios.
"Whooo…!" The sharp sound of the emergency alarm suddenly echoed through the campus. Without hesitation, students and teachers in classrooms quickly reacted—students immediately crouched under their desks, covering their heads and necks to protect themselves. Once the simulated “earthquake” had "subsided," teachers promptly guided students in evacuating the classrooms. Following the designated escape routes, students exited quickly and quietly towards the school playground.
Upon reaching the safety zone, homeroom teachers conducted a headcount to ensure that all students had safely evacuated.
Right after the earthquake drill, the fire emergency simulation commenced. As soon as the fire alarm sounded, students and teachers covered their mouths and noses, bent low, and swiftly but orderly moved down the staircases towards the playground.
Within the expected evacuation time, all students successfully reached the designated assembly area.
Following the drill, teachers provided a comprehensive debrief, commending students for their quick response and orderly movements. At the same time, they addressed areas for improvement, such as enhancing evacuation speed and maintaining better formation discipline during assembly.
This earthquake and fire drill provided valuable hands-on emergency experience, strengthening the safety awareness of both students and staff. These drills serve as a protective shield, ensuring a secure learning and working environment for all. With preparedness as our defense, we are building a safer and stronger campus together!
