Amid the bustling corners of the city, many small animals have been abandoned, lost, or forced to leave their original homes for various reasons. They wander the streets, enduring hardships and uncertainty. To support these animals, Hübschmann·Zhan School organizes annual animal welfare activities, offering care and compassion to strays and bringing warmth to their world.
For many years, our students have generously donated supplies to animal rescue shelters. When we learned that shelters were facing food shortages, another donation drive was launched. Bags of cat and dog food, soft blankets, and new toys were collected, each carrying the heartfelt care and kindness of our school community.
On January 23rd, our senior students, representing the entire school, visited the animal shelter with the donated supplies, eager to lend a helping hand. Upon arrival, they quickly got to work—enthusiastically cleaning kennels, preparing food, and gently petting and playing with the animals. The students and animals shared moments of joy and warmth, filling the shelter with an atmosphere of happiness and peace.
Through this activity, the animals received much-needed support, but more importantly, the students gained a deeper understanding of compassion and generosity. Every life deserves kindness and care. Though the animals cannot speak, they express their gratitude in their own unique ways. The seeds of empathy have been planted in our students’ hearts, and we believe that in the future, more people will join the mission of caring for stray animals, ensuring they can live happily in an environment filled with love and support.
