During the immersive fire prevention and earthquake prevention drills, the students of Hübschmann·Zhan School also conducted an interesting Q&A on fire safety to become fire safety knowledge experts!
1. Fire and earthquake drill
With the planned triggering of our fire alarm, our fire and earthquake drills began. Homeroom teachers organized their students through the nearest evacuation routes to the outdoor assembly area. Throughout the evacuation process, everyone remained cool, calm, and collected.
2. How to use the fire extinguishers
Hands-on experience is the ultimate test of knowledge. Our teacher instructed the students on the proper use of fire extinguishers, ensuring they could operate them effectively in emergency situations. During the demonstration, the teacher shared a concise four-step process: lift, pull, hold, and press. Some students took charge, practicing these steps and swiftly extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile, others cheered with excitement as the fire retardant sprayed out.
3. Fire Safety Quiz
The fire safety quiz was the exciting highlight of our fire drill day! Each contestant was completely focused, eager to be the first to answer the questions. As the question-master presented one question after another, our students showcased their fire safety knowledge with remarkable accuracy. These intense and engaging quizzes helped everyone reinforce their understanding of fire safety and even gain some new insights.
Fire prevention is an ongoing commitment. The Fire Drill Day at Hübschmann·Zhan School provided students with a valuable opportunity to acquire fire safety knowledge and escape skills. Armed with what we learned today, we can collectively construct a protective barrier against fire hazards.
