HuZ School | Project Week: Expanding Horizons for Growth |
Jul  27, 2026

Growth goes far beyond acquiring knowledge from textbooks—it is also shaped through exploration and hands-on experiences. On July 15 and 16, Hübschmann·Zhan School held a two-day Project Week, offering students a wide range of practical learning opportunities designed to help them develop abilities beyond academic knowledge and to nurture curiosity, kindness, confidence, and a spirit of exploration.

This year's Project Week featured a variety of engaging and meaningful activities, with the exploration of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) serving as its central focus. Guided by their teachers, students studied the Convention independently and took part in in-depth discussions about its 54 articles. They explored key themes such as the rights to survival, development, protection, and participation, exchanging ideas and reflecting on the importance of children's rights. Drawing on what they had learned, students expressed their understanding through a range of creative projects, including themed posters, short videos, and original songs, bringing the principles of children's rights to life while promoting the values of equality and mutual respect.

In addition to the children's rights project, this year's Project Week also incorporated elements of traditional Chinese culture through a series of activities under the theme of Chinese Classical Culture. Covering areas such as sports, art, and music, these interdisciplinary experiences encouraged students to immerse themselves in the elegance and richness of Chinese traditions. By appreciating traditional culture within an international and multicultural learning environment, students were able to strengthen their cultural awareness and confidence.

Project Week is a distinctive feature of global holistic education and serves as an important platform for fostering students' overall development. Its innovative approach and student-centered educational philosophy provide valuable opportunities for meaningful learning beyond the classroom. Rooted in real-life experiences while embracing a global perspective, Project Week encourages students to move beyond the limits of textbooks, discover their potential, think critically through exploration, and grow through collaboration.
