We still remember that one summer afternoon all teachers, students and parents of the Hübschmann and Zhan International School Shenyang took part in the "Sports Summer Festival" and its greatest event, the - "Charity Run". Thanks to the huge commitment of the school, the “HuZ Charity Run” has become our annual routine and the proceeds go to children in need.
After learning of the dire living conditions of the children in Daliangshan earlier this year, our teachers quickly contacted the relevant person in charge. In this way they found out very quickly what the children there in need of. And they organized the successful charity run.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the students, their teachers and the support of the sponsors gotten by parents and children together, a total of 34,855 RMB was collected during the charity run this year, with which the donated goods were paid for.
The village of Xiluo is located in a mountainous area high above sea level and the temperature difference between the two worlds above and below is very large. The children there need warm clothing in every season. We have therefore selected 105 down jackets in different sizes and colors for the children, which are light and warm but still guarantee freedom of movement. The purchase details are as follows:

Teenagers need adequate calcium, but the children in the inaccessible mountain area have a monotonous diet, which means that most children suffer from joint pain caused by calcium deficiency. That's why we bought calcium and zinc-rich milk powder 200 packs and milk tablets 60 boxes for the children in Xiluo Village. We want to free the children from joint pain.

Every child who is enthusiastic about learning deserves a new school bag, which symbolizes the new semester and hope for the future. That's why we bought 200 new school bags for the children. At Shenyang Hübschmann Zhan International School, children always learn and grow together.We sincerely hope that the Chinese and German children can actively and happily learn and grow together under the same blue sky!
A healthy body is the most important foundation. The children in the mountains have to help with the farm work and don't have much time to play. When we found out that the children were craving for inline skates, we bought 16 sets of inline skates and protective equipment in different sizes. The children can use them together and do sports!

Shenyang Hübschmann Zhan International School's classroom arrangements are all about high quality and fun education which focuses on children's spiritual growth. We are always firmly convinced that interest is the best teacher for children. That is why we have also prepared additional teaching materials for simple scientific experiments for grades 1 to 6 (two sets for each grade).

Finally, we also set up a donation station during the donation run. The Chinese and German children and their parents brought their own toys, clothes, sporting goods, etc., in the hope of sharing them with the adults and children in Xiluo Village. The items are packed in a total of 4 large packages and sent to Xiluo.
The children were very happy about our gifts and wanted to send us videos. Although some of the children cannot speak Chinese very well and have to ask the elder children for help, we are still very touched. We hope that we could do something good and that the children from Xiluo had a nice vacation. We are looking forward to the new school year together. We learn together and grow together!
