On Saturday, May 11th 2019, the Shenyang HuZ School held a "Charity Fun Run" event. This day saw students participating in a long-distance run to earn pledges raised by parents and others. All donations from the event will go to charity.
The "HuZ School Charity Fun Run" started at 10 am , over a 30-minute period, students ran as many laps around our school track as they could. Each lap was recorded and, based on the student's pledges, the amount of laps run was used to determine the amount donated by parents, friends, and relatives.
The proceeds will be used to help a Chinese girl who over the years has had to undergo multiple operations due to illness. In the past few years, we have made donations to help pay for her high surgical expenses.
After the charity run, we also had a friendly football match. The teams were composed of students, parents, and faculty members of the school.
The event was sponsored in part by the Conrad Shenyang Hotel, which catered for the crowd so that everyone could enjoy authentic German cuisine following the match.
