The principal of the HuZ Primary School, Mr. Benjamin Posch, and one of our middle school teacher, Mr. Peter Hirt, recently had an exciting visit with our partner school in Yangpu, Shanghai.
They were met by Ms. Mezger, the principal of Shanghai Yangpu German Primary School who showed them the impressive new Shanghai German School building, which was completed in January 2020.
HuZ School and the Shanghai German School communicated and exchanged ideas on various topics relating to education. Ms. Mezger, who has worked at the Shanghai German School for ten years, shared some of her experiences with Mr. Benjamin Posch and Mr. Peter Hirt. Based on her career experience, she has made great contributions to the development of the Shanghai German School, and she had many insights and pieces of practical advice. For example, she shared many thoughts on Chinese lessons, DAF/DAZ (German as a foreign language/German as a second language), or homework for primary school students.
We express our gratitude to Ms. Mezger for her time, warm welcome, and extremely interesting advice. We look forward to meeting her again and continuing our conversation.
