On June 21, Hübschmann·Zhan School students made a unique career exploration of the diplomatic work in the consulate in a French-speaking environment. Thanks Ms. Anne RULLIAT (Consul General of the French Consulate General in Shenyang), Mr. Loic LITTMANN (Head of the Campus France center in Shenyang), Mr. Wang Qiang (Head of the promotion and orientation office of the Campus France Center in Shenyang) and Ms. Peng Meng (Technology and Higher Education Cooperation Officer of French Consulate General in Shenyang) for their attendance and support to this event. Together we helped our students start their exploration towards the future and deepened their understanding of the world.
Jointly performed by Chinese and French students, the Hübschmann·Zhan School song and the French poem reading program received lots of applause. The student representatives gave their handcraft flowers and a painting with French and Chinese symbols to Ms. Anne RULLIAT, expressing their joy of seeing her again.
Profession day is one of the traditional events of Hübschmann·Zhan School, which stimulates students’ understanding and planning of future careers through the perspective of adults. This school profession day, we are so honored to have Ms. Anne RULLIAT, Consul General of the Consulate General of France in Shenyang, to personally explain the duty and responsibilities of working in the consulate. Her vivid presentation showed us the career of consulates and diplomats. It opened the eyes of the students, and aroused their sense of responsibility and achievement about this profession, which ended up with applause and laughter. Ms. Anne RULLIAT said: "Do what you like, because you will definitely like doing it!" Let us learn to think through listening and gain more understanding and cognition of our profession.
Mr. Wang Qiang, the representative of the Campus France center in Shenyang, talked about the French-speaking world and French culture, as well as study in France, bringing France, a romantic country, to the students in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
French-speakers in Northeast China, a three-month exhibition French-speakers in Northeast China Exhibition was also started by this Profession Day activity. The exhibition features 32 French speakers from northeastern China telling their stories about French and France, about how they met French language, how they learned it , and how they use French in their work. From engineering to literature, fine arts, gastronomy, academic research, education and journalism, Hübschmann·Zhan School introduces different growth and development of many French speakers through this exhibition, allowing students to gain an in-depth understanding of the French-speaking world, the advantages of multilingual jobs and the unlimited possibilities in their future! The concern of French Consulate General in Shenyang for French-speaking people coincides with our French education. With the launch of the exhibition, let us start our exploration of the French-speaking world, just like what the preface of the exhibition said: "I hope these interesting and detailed expressions will give you the desire and courage to explore the wonderful and magical world with French!"
"What do you want to do when you grow up?"
Everyone is asked this question, and the answer will become clearer as they grow up. From the examples in this exhibition, those outstanding representatives in their career, the students gained a deeper understanding of their favorite professions. We hope that this Profession Day will plant a seed of dream in the hearts of our students, let them know the meaning of life, and lead them to an ideal future.
From the Sino-French Environment Month this school year, the consulate visit of students learning French as a second language, to this HuZ Career Day, we are always happy and delighted to witness the friendly interaction between the French Consulate General in Shenyang and Hübschmann·Zhan School. We’d like to thank the Consul General and her colleagues for broadening our students’ horizon and vision. We believe that under our close cooperation, we will continue to contribute to the development of French language, French education, French culture and many other fields in Shenyang. This is not only the responsibility of being the one and only French school in Shenyang, but also our mission to provide students with different development paths. Let us embrace more possibilities in the future together!
