On November 27, 2021, a preliminary recognition of the Hübschmann Zhan- German School Shenyang was signed in a ceremony held in the Conrad Hotel Shenyang, which means the School was officially recognized as an German School Abroad by the Federal Foreign Office and thus opens a new chapter in the development of the School.
Mr. Matthias Biermann, Consul General of the German Consulate General in Shenyang, Mr. Chen Jiabiao, Deputy Secretary General of Shenyang Municipal Government, government representatives of the Tiexi District, representatives of the Hübschmann Zhan Education Group and many other guests also attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Dr. Franz Decker was appointed as chairman of the school's advisory board by Hübschmann Zhan representative and School legal representative Yuqiong Cui.

The Hübschmann Zhan German School Shenyang stepped into a new stage with the temporary recognition. In addition to the current education qualifications offered in partnership with DS Yangpu, further qualifications in the secondary education and German exams will be provided in the future. The recognition ensures that German students receive recognized German diplomas, thus ensuring a smooth transition between the German and Chinese education systems at the time of family relocation. Chinese students, after taking appropriate language exams, can also transfer to the German School through the encounter system.
Dr. Franz Decker said at the ceremony: “I am very honored to become the chairman of the new advisory board. The recognition signed today, marks a milestone in the school's development. It shows the great importance that the Federal Republic of Germany attaches to the city of Shenyang and to our school. I believe that through joint efforts we can build a unique and excellent German school abroad and strengthen the Sino-German cultural relations."
