with faces covered by masks,
fencers attacked and retreated from time to time
trying to hit the target with their swords
through skillful footwork and tactics.
In order to allow our students who love fencing to accumulate more experience in the process and atmosphere of professional competitions, HuZ School held a "Hübschmann Zhan Cup Fencing Match" on November 20th. The students of our school have competed with the young fencing players we invited, improved their fencing skills in actual fencing combat, and gained precious friendship!
With the warm-up exercise guided by the coach, the fencing match kicked off in laughter.Stride,defense, slide and thrust,our little fencers on the fencing strip have shown the charm of fencing in a few rounds of offense and defense to the audience together with their calmness in fierce combats and great fencing skills. With the continuous clash of swords, everyone in the room was attracted by the tense and exciting atmosphere.
Through this fencing competition, we discovered new merits of our students that were not seen before. During the match, the fencers have shown their great potential under the guidance of the coach.While the fencers are competing on the strip, others will either cheer for the winners or comfort the fencers who did not prevail, showing the sportsmanship of mutual respect, humility, courtesy and fairness in fencing.
"Sword" has always been a symbol of elegance and gentlemanhood and "Fencing" is exactly a sport evolved from combat training and duel swords. With less aloofness and militancy, it has become more elegant and graceful. While learning to be motivated and persistent, the students have also gained honor, self-confidence and friendship in the match.
As a very important part of HuZ school's sports culture, fencing comprehensively improves students' physical fitness and temperament. Fencing education has formed a unique culture in HuZ School, which continuously conveys the gentleman spirit and sportsmanship to students. Through such good matches, we hope that these young fencers can accumulate competition experience, have a higher passion for fencing, and even gain the opportunity to higher-level events.
