HuZ German reading contest for non-native speakers was held | HuZ School
Nov  24, 2021

A German reading contest for non-native speakers was held at 3:35 pm on Nov. 17 by Hübschmann Zhan School. While cultivating students' reading interest and improving their reading ability, the School also extends students' global vision and in-depth thinking on the social cultures of German-speaking countries. In this competition, participants from different grades gathered together and brought us wonderful German recitations.

During the competition, the students draw lots to determine their turns. Surprisingly, most of the students have built a good foundation for reading. Some of the them read in an unhurried way,  some read a lively tone, both showing their solid German skills and superb expression. The students mastered pronunciation and sentence segmentation efficiently and accurately in a limited time, and were able to read a short German article fluently. In the end, the judges rated the participants according to their performance and expression.

Through the students’ recitation, we can see that they have mastered the rules and methods of German pronunciation. The students discussed the competition process and results with interest, showing their enthusiasm and love for German.

After the intense competition, German teacher Amaru presented awards and trophies to the winners. We hope that this spirit of learning will be passed on, inspiring students' enthusiasm for learning German.

We break the national boundaries with knowledge, we open the door to German culture with German language. Language is the key to mutual understanding. For a successful encounter, it is a prerequisite that they can learn from school.
