What was initiated some time ago by parents' representatives and supported and organized by the school board has now become reality: the HuZ students have a school uniform from now on. The official launch ceremony for the uniform took place on Thursday, March 18, 2021. A school uniform should create uniformity and, above all, express the sense of community, the principals of the German and International section, Mr. Raphael Hillisch and Mr. Mike Liu, tried to make this clear in their statements at the ceremony. It could symbolize community and the motto "Learn together, grow together" of our Chinese-German school community. Mr. Hillisch compared this to a club jersey and Mr. Liu urged the students to wear the logo with pride.
A common clothing could eliminate the "suffering of choice" while dressing in the morning and prevent the comparison of clothing as a status symbol. This was the opinion of the representative of the parents' council, Mr. Kaiserseder, who explained from his own experience as General Manager of the Hotel Conrad in Shenyang, e.g. in hotel operations, the function and advantages of the uniform. The introductions were accompanied by musical representations of the primary school children from both sections and a fashion show of the children from the 1st to 6th grade, which the students watched excitedly and amusingly, in which various variants of the uniform could be observed on the catwalk.
